Mountaineering & Trekking Visa Guide
Plan ahead, upload the right docs, and secure your visa with confidence. We’ll handle the operator paperwork; you focus on the climb.
1) Apply Online — Start Early
Apply for a Mountaineering or Trekking visa through Pakistan’s official online portal. Typical processing is 4–8 weeks. Submit your application at least 2 months before departure.
- If revisions are requested, resubmission restarts the review clock.
- Applications not updated within 7 days after being sent back may be cancelled.
2) Choose the Right Category
Select New Single Entry Visa and choose your category:
- Mountaineering — mention specific peak(s)
- Trekking — mention the trek route
Be precise in Purpose of Visit to match your expedition or trek.
3) Required Documents
Scanned passport (JPEG)
Passport-size photo, white background (JPEG)
Mountaineering/Trekking application form (PDF)
Authorization letter from DTS-licensed tour operator (PDF)
Group member list, if applicable (PDF)
Four Season Treks (Reg.) provides sponsor/authorization letters after your booking is confirmed.
4) Duration, Validity & Royalty Fees
- Visa validity: up to 3 months, single-entry.
- Royalty fee (where applicable) is payable in Pakistan and varies by peak height/region.
- No royalty fee for peaks up to 6,500 m. Higher tiers apply above this elevation.
